The recently completed Virgie Hegg Hospice Partners (VHHP) 2009 Annual Membership Campaign
has successfully raised a total of almost $2600, toward the continuing goal of creating
a $10,000 Stop Loss Fund to guarantee the continued availability of hospice & respite
care services at the Cook Hospital.

$500 of this amount was raised on our behalf through a Membership Raffle run by our partner St. Mary's Hospice & Palliative Care-East Range Team. Numerous raffle prizes were donated by local businesses, groups & individuals. The drawing was held at Cook's annual Timber Days celebration.
VHHP members receive a copy of the annual Spring and Fall newsletters and an invitation to the Annual Meeting held in June. The Board of Directors is elected by membership at the Annual Meeting. All membership contributions are tax deductible.
Throughout the year VHHP supports hospice patients and their families by providing medical supplies & equipment not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance. VHHP also helps to provide bereavement & grief support for surviving family and friends, continuing education & development for hospice staff, and annual scholarships for local high school and college students.
The VHHP Board of Directors is extremely grateful for the continued support of new and renewing members. Membership support makes it possible for VHHP to fulfill its primary purpose of supporting quality hospice & respite care in the communities of central Saint Louis County.
