The Virgie Hegg Hospice Partners (VHHP) 18th annual Lights of Love campaign is again underway.
We would like to invite you to join a tradition of remembering & honoring loved ones by supporting
quality hospice care in our local area. This is our largest fundraiser of the year with our annual
campaign beginning in November to recognize National Hospice Month and National Family Caregivers
Month. Last year's Lights of Love raised approximately 49% of VHHP's annual income.
Thanks to a generous grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, offering to match the first $1,500 raised by the 2008 Lights of Love campaign, your support will significantly increase our fundraising percentage beyond last year's goal. Your tax deductible donation will help light the trees at holiday celebrations in the communities of Cook & Orr, in support of local hospice patients & their families. Donations may be given in honor or memory of a loved one. Ice candle luminaries will also be available for purchase to be displayed as part of the tree lighting ceremonies. All Lights of Love contributions and dedications which are received prior to the tree-lighting ceremonies, will be published in local area newspapers during the month of December, unless otherwise indicated on the donation form. Please mark your calendars and join us for the Lights of Love tree lighting taking place at the Cook Library on Friday, December 5th @ 5:30 pm and at City Hall in Orr on Saturday, December 6th @ 5:30 pm. You are also invited to join us following each ceremony for coffee, cider and treats. Please take this time to remember a special person(s) in your life and to assist local hospice patients and their families during a challenging time in their lives by joining the tradition today! |
