Becky Barnes - At their Annual Meeting in June, the Board of Directors of Virgie Hegg Hospice Partners (VHHP), welcomed Becky Barnes as their newest Board Member. Becky's own mother suffered from Alzheimers disease. Near the end of her life, the family contacted hospice services and "... they were wonderful"! This positive experience with end of life care has encouraged Becky's strong support for all that hospice services can provide to a patient and their family. Becky has also served on the W.C. Heiam Foundation Board for many years, bringing additional insights regarding health care. The VHHP Board looks forward to the insight, experience and willingness to serve that Becky brings with her. Becky Barnes replaces Elder Metsa who resigned in June. Donna Hoffer - At their September meeting, the Board of Directors of Virgie Hegg Hospice Partners (VHHP), welcomed Donna Hoffer as their newest Board Member. Donna's father-in-law, received hospice services a number of years ago; an experience that left Donna with a positive impression. "It meant so much to have someone come into his home and help during his time of illness - and for that, I want to give back to those who also need this type of service." Donna has also served on other boards, providing her with a variety of experience. She also has a working knowledge of the health care field, having worked as the Human Resources Manager at the Cook Hospital and Nursing Home. In addition, Donna has volunteered her time as an Emergency Medical Technician for 10 years. The VHHP Board looks forward to the insight, experience and dedication that Donna brings with her. Donna Hoffer replaces Pastor Joey Bailey who resigned in June. | ||
